We didn't stay in a room, just popped in for a small bite to eat and a pot of tea. Friendly staff and quick service, food was ok but not outstanding. Beautiful tea pot

Great little cafe, lovely cakes and a lovely view. The fish and chips on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are beautifully prepared and as fresh as you could want. It has a well stocked bar and runs as a b and b. The staff are delightful and very welcoming, so pop in and enjoy.

We stayed here five nights during the week of 9th September, and I cannot fault it. Breakfast was excellent every day, couldn't fault it. The room had a great view of the harbour, a lovely en-suite bathroom and a window seat which I loved sitting in and watching the waves! The owner was around most days, and we had a few chats with him. He was very interested to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and seemed a lovely man. On the last day at checkout, another staff member chatted with us about what we could do before our ferry, and recommended us several places we could go in the short time we had. (We saw Minn Beach and it was lovely!) The staff we encountered at breakfast were all lovely and made sure we were well looked after. I cannot recommend The Cornerstone enough. Thanks for an excellent stay!

What a dream! Stumbled upon it as we were sightseeing in scalloway. we popped in for a cafe and bonus, got some yummy Pastries as well. We positioned ourselves at a table that looked out to the Sea and street of colorful houses. The locals enjoy breakfast here. I am sure they get tired of the disrespectful tourists wandering around. Introduced myself to a local who ended up being an artist. Sometimes I believe the locals get tired of the tourists being in the local space.

We stayed at the Cornerstone 3 nights. What a great place to stay, the owner is very hands on and such a nice chap. Our room was great, it had everything we needed, the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, it was served downstairs in the cafe, with the biggest pot of tea, and served really quickly, the staff were so friendly and efficient. The cafe had a great menu. There is plenty of parking. It is a great base to explore. If we return we will definitely stay again.

Cozy and delicious! We stopped here on the way to Unst and liked it so much that we did a repeat on the return trip. You'll see the delicious food and welcoming space in the photos, but you have to experience the friendly service to fully appreciate it. We'll carry home fond memories of Scalloway, and Cornerstone will be a big part of that. Brilliant, y'all.
